- Carts and the blue line
The blue “no carts past this point” line has been in place for some time now. Please adhere to these lines to protect our green complexes from unnecessary traffic and give the best possible playing conditions for your fellow members. The clearly marked lines indicate the direction carts should follow.
- Winter Cup
The 2023 Hartfield Winter Cup will be played on Sunday 6th August.
The event will be a Shotgun start 7.15AM and 12.15PM.
ADH Club Car has again proudly sponsored the event, with a Club Car Cart up for grabs for a hole in one on the 15th hole.
There will be a sausage sizzle for all players from 11.30 am– 1pm.
Entry is via Mitournament or entry form at Club office.
It is respectfully requested that all prize winners or representatives be present for the Presentations of prizes.
- Club Championships 2023
The 2023 Club Championships will be held on Saturday 5th and 12th August for 36-hole stroke qualifying and Sunday 13th, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th August for knockout Matchplay.
This year will be top 8 qualifiers for Club Champion.
All Matchplay matches will be played as a 2 ball.
- Pennants
The Ladies Senior 4BBB Pennants starts this Monday 10th July. Best of luck and good play ladies.
The Men’s Pennant season has just passed the halfway mark. Divisions 2, 4(1), 7 and 8 all have strong chances to play in Finals this season. Unfortunately, a couple of narrow losses for Divisions 5 and 6 see them out of contention for finals this season. Division 4(2) (technically our 3rd team) has had some pleasing results playing every other club’s second team, however, are also out of contention for finals.
For those who don’t know how Men’s Pennants works. Divisions 1,2 and 3 the top two teams in the division play off in a 36-hole final for the Pennant. The Winners of Division 2 and 3 are promoted to the division above. The team that finishes last in Division 1 and 2 are relegated to divisions 2 and 3.
For Division 4 to 8 only the top team of North and South play off in an 18-hole final for the Pennant. As you can see, this is quite a brutal format and why winning a Pennant is cherished so dearly by those who play in a winning team.
Thank you to all the members that came out and supported our teams on Sunday 2nd July. You were treated to some good golf and two home team wins.
- Pitch marks
There has been a noticeable amount of unrepaired pitch marks on the greens this week. With the inclement weather the greens are softer hence your ball landing on the green will make a pitch mark. Please repair your pitch mark and at least one other.
- Orange tees
I have had some great positive feedback from those that have played the short course. Give it a try next time you are having a social round. Take approximately 12 shots off your handicap for a twelve marker. Yes, you’re a scratch marker!! Cards available from Pro shop.
- Self – scoring activation
As from Monday 17th July 2023 the R & A have approved self-scoring on the MiScore Club App. As with the playing cards both players need to sign prior to submission of the score.
- 10th Practice Area – Opening
With the lights being installed on Thursday 13th July members are welcomed to use this area from that evening. Lights will be set to come on at 6 pm going off at 8 pm each night.
