Junior Golf

Welcome to Hartfield Country Club! We offer a supportive and safe environment for junior golfers to improve their game and make new friends. Our program includes coaching from Golf Professionals and structured junior competitions on Sundays. We have options for all skill levels, and our Junior Committee provides on-course support and mentoring. Join us and have fun while growing your golf skills!

What can Hartfield offer 🙂
1. 18-hole premier course to learn and play on.
2. Excellent practice facilities such as driving range, chipping, and putting areas.
3. Structured clinics during school terms (free to HCC members)
4. Junior competitions conducted on a Sunday ranging from tiger tees (5 to 9 holes) to advanced players using normal markers.
5. Mentoring of players learning the game. Both on course & off course
6. Learning of the etiquette and team culture
7. Understanding of the rules of golf
8. Access to competition play during school holidays, except Saturdays.
9. The cost of being a junior member is $300
10. This includes subscription, Affiliations, and Insurance fees. Must be under 18 @ 1st July

There are many reasons why Hartfield should be an appealing club for junior golfers.

  • The practice facilities are excellent, perfect for someone looking to learn the basics of the game without the feeling that many beginner golfers get the world over when they take to the course – that they are inconveniencing the more experienced players.
  • Our members are a friendly, accommodating bunch anyway and welcome new faces no matter what their age. Anyone coming to Hartfield will quickly be made to feel part of the club.
  • Membership rates are very attractive for the younger members and will not break the bank.

Youngsters can learn so much from golf. As well as being a hugely enjoyable (and at times, hugely frustrating!) sport, it teaches so many life skills such as common courtesy, good manners and playing by rules.

Many adult golfers coming to the game later in life, perhaps on retirement, find learning the skills necessary to play well a bit of a struggle. Kids, however, have no fear, and take up the game as a junior and you will pick up the skills required for a lifetime of good golf.
